wallgreens.. toothpaste & mouthwash in hand
I walk up to the counter to pay for items..
girl behind the counter looks at me & says
"hello.. how are you? will that be all?"
I proceeded to give her a $20...
she proceeded to heroin junkie nod off for a good amount of time
I turned around and looked at the people behind me on line
they looked back at me & her...
I turned around back to her and waited a bit longer...
she snapped out of it gave me my change and said
"have a nice day!!!"

i saw beauty on the train...
fidgeting in her seat
headphones on
oblivious to anyone around
doing her eye make up
in a skirt
legs crossed
magazine in lap
abstract eyes
getting off at the next stop
disappearing into the city...
